The old gold field displays a low vase with spreading flowers at one end, grapes and grape leaves at the other, paeony groups at each side, all framed by a green border with more grape bunches and leaves on a meandering vine. The field pf this interwar Chinese Tianjin Art Deco carpet is open in the centre, with an overall somewhat mellow palette. Definitely decorative, contempo palette.
