About the Item
During the Art Deco period many designers commissioned their patterns to the city looms located in Tianjin through companies such as Nichols
Co. Some designs, such as this one, show a combination of European sensibility together with a Chinese influence, where we see Ming period vases framed by tone-on-tone floral elements on a rich lacquer red background. The latter color is quite unique for this family of carpets, denoting it with refinement and timeless elegance.
