Kilim’s mid-century curations—inspired by classic sensibilities and period pieces of the 1920s, nearing the height of the iconic movement.
On the Design:
This piece features a black field underscoring a play of floral patterns and vase pictorials in bright, spring-like hues. The hyper-stylized floral patterns are exceptionally reminiscent of Chinese Art Deco style. The border features traditional garland and vine scroll patterns, while the field showcases a brighter array of green, purple, yellow, and red hues, contained within an uncommon dimensional Chinese frame.
