This vintage 12x18 needlepoint rug is a unique reimagining of antique English works of the same style. Handmade in wool from China circa 1980-1990.
Further on the Design:
This particular rug enjoys a more gracious scale than nearly any we’ve curated of the style, and a seldom-seen detail therein. Its blush red background is a gorgeous undertone to whimsical, light floral patterns, and their natural movement through soothing repetition. Keen eyes will admire a natural play of green, pink, beige-brown, and even purple in the medley of accents this all over pattern.
A fabulous interpretation of European style, and a more spacious palace sized needlepoint than normal.
