About the Item
Refined artefact from the atelier of Peking, which made carpets exclusively for the imperial house and the court dignitaries. Carpets that, contrary to the productions of the nomads, had the purpose to furnish and embellish aristocratic residences. The decoration was inspired by the precious porcelain already widespread and how these were influenced by the Taoist culture.
The elegance of our artefact together with a refined selection of colours is also given by the particular texture in a horizontal sense, which makes it very suitable to be used on the wall as a tapestry.
