About the Item
Aari Rug has been carefully handwoven by heritage artisans in India . Handwoven completely on our custom design , we are using 100% hand-carded jute and imported wool and cotton.
No petrochemical based yarns like acrylic / polyester are used in this. We are using breathable natural fibres like cotton, jute and wool. The blend of natural yarns and unique technique used creates a double color effect in the geometric repeat pattern design of rug in pleasant hues with a pop of topaz making it suitable for a studio, office, guest , living room space or hanging it as a wall decor.
Complete process is done by hand, which mean each piece is unique and one of a kind. A classic modern rug, it will enhance interior spaces and also support artisan communities ethically.

Geru rug is a reflection of the geometrical patterns visible around the artisan home. Geru also means the natural brown dye derived from organic elements. 100% hand-spun wool and organic dyes made completely by the artisan’s families have been used in this rug.
For Geru rug we are using only the 100% natural wool which is completely naturally dyed by the artisans using organic materials like tree bark, eucalyptus and herbs. Each batch of organic dye is made separately and custom to ensure richness in colors. Complete process is done by hand, which mean each piece is unique and one of a kind. A classic rug, Geru will enhance interior spaces and also support artisan communities ethically.
This artisan family is a 5th generation family of master craftsmen who have handed down a unique technique of weaving rugs on an ancient loom which dates back hundreds of years. We personally collaborate with the family and intend to support their indigenous craft as there are very few families left now who can weave on this particular ancient loom. Ethically made, Geru rug is a classic neutral piece that will compliment in any interior space with its earthy pallet and stripes pattern. The white portion is undyed natural sheep wool which is handspun.
