About the Item
9' x 12'2. The pattern is endless in this decorative antique Agra carpet. Appearing to pass beneath the border the array of angular vine segments sectional palmettes stylized cypress trees and various natural elements closely covers the old ivory ground. The broad border covers the field pattern as a frame with its split arabesques and rosettes all on a wine brown ground. All-over patterns are popular today and furnishings may be arranged without reference to a central medallion or directional elements.
