This antique Indian Amritsar rug has an ivory field with an overall design of four horizontal rows of pistachio-green and dusty-pink floral lozenges alternating with bands of similarly colored lozenges flanked by bold cusped leaves and alternating with lozenges issuing floral motifs linked by scrolling acanthus leaf vine issuing flowerheads and further floral motifs, in a pistachio-green border with stylized vase motifs each containing a central flowering plant and flanked by single and double flowering plants issuing curved stems with further flowerheads between ivory floral vine and pistachio-green S-motif stripes, plain outer ivory stripe.
