The circa-1920 antique Indian rug features an all-over design of lozenge latticed palmette patterns. Floral abstractions, arabesques and curviliear shapes appear in shades of blue over a field of rust. An ornate blue border completes the look of this exotic antique Indian carpet. The production of antique Indian rugs and carpets dates from the Mughal period of the late 1520s.
