Early 20th Century Indian Cotton Dhurrie Carpet ( 8' x 18'6" - 245 x 564 )
This all-cotton Indian Kilim-weave gallery format Dhurrie has a faintly Caucasian/ NW Persian design air about it with a denim blue field displaying a concentric lozenge over-pattern of serrated ashiks in teal blue, salmon-rust, red and sand, within a narrow plain teal border. A definitely colorful piece with strong attachment to a wider Kilim tradition. An antique in good condition.
