An extremely fine Lahore workshop carpet, characterised by a well spaced all-over botanical pattern of leafs and palmettes on a Burmese Ruby red background. The white border confers a lovely contrast to the composition, defining the frame with great elegance. The silky wool combined with the outstanding level of knotting and the impeccable condition imparts a jewel-like quality to the carpet. This is a perfect hard-wearing rug which will certainly add to the beauty of many refined interiors, in a rare to find format.
