About the Item

An antique Indian Agra accent rug. Here is a perfect northern workshop Indian copy, with a longer pile, of a Caucasian Baku Chila, even to the black ground and light blue accents. The ivory medallion matches the quarter corners and the field is filled with a close version of the popular Avshan pattern. The designer must have seen a rug book illustration. The originals are rare and pricey, so here is the next best thing. And who'll know? Hand-knotted in India Wool One of a kind Measures: 3' 9" x 6' 6"
