About the Item
“Flying over New York” is a unique handmade example. This rug, hand-knotted with a high knot density, is available in New Zealand wool and Tencel in different pile heights cut with scissors to give it a three-dimensional design. The "Flying over New York" rug, designed in Italy, consists of approx. 155,000 knots/sqm for a size of 400 x 300 cm.
The carpet depicting a night satellite view of New York and specifically its light pollution.
Knot density: Persian knot, approx. 155.000 knots/m2
Dimensions: W 300 x L 400 cm.
Available only on request, also in 100% pure Silk.
Leadtime: 4-5 months depending on the size.
The customer can choose from a color range of over 5,000 different shades and all yarns are hand dyed to order, using only non-toxic and eco-friendly pigments.
We have always loved experimenting and exploring the world of yarns: this has allowed us to offer a truly wide range of incredible materials with different properties, shines and softness.
Our rugs are handmade using the same techniques as ancient Persian rugs in our manufacturing center in India, where rug culture has resided for centuries and where our expert craftsmen meticulously weave our creations. The history and culture that lie behind a handmade carpet are infinite and every carpet is the direct consequence of it.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION REGARDING SHIPPING:
Please contact us for an independent shipping quote as we provide high quality shipping at competitive prices due to our frequency of shipping, relations with international shipping companies and the possibility to organize directly from Italy.
We take care of the entire customs procedure and paperwork. On request we organize a white glove delivery and installation of the artwork inside of the property of the client. All shipments are ALL-RISK insured.
We carefully pack all artworks in strong wooden crates to ensure safe transport. This service is done directly in our atelier and is complimentary.
All of our artworks travel with a shock watch system in order to monitorate rough handling by shippers and movers.
