Kilim’s Modern Classics collection.
On The Design:
Connoisseurs will admire this design which reflects a modern interpretation of "ushak” design, sometimes spelled “Oushak” in our craft. Keen eyes will admire the particularly subtle colorway of beige and gray underscores old-world geometric-floral patterns with a notable presence of cream and white. In addition to many other interesting hues—both rich and playful alike—underscore a play of all over and geometric style florals, with a particularly elegant drawing one would never see in such modern colors. One fundamental idea that our Principal, Jahanshah Nazmiyal has long taught to his colleagues and teammates is that the best handmade modern rugs are made after one masters the classics. This piece is our collection’s contribution to classic styles reinterpreted completely in a modern fashion.
