This 8x10 rug is a new addition to the Burano Collection by Rug
Kilim. Hand-knotted in a special blend of Ghazni wool, its design is inspired by antique Persian rugs, reimagined in a refreshing modern quality that both innovates and honors the traditional look.
This particular design draws influence from antique Persian rugs that depict the "Tree of Life”—a celebrated pattern often seen in large-scale, fruit bearing trees like that seen against the navy blue field. The many fruits and floral patterns in field and border alike further enjoy rich autumnal red, gold, rust and beige-brown tones, with a variety of light and playful variations of the color that lend a fabulous sense of movement to an otherwise traditional design. In the colorway, keen eyes will further admire a very intentional striae made to look like a traditional rug's abrash—an immersive and intricate element of our handmade process that speaks to the soul of this line. Admirers of the craft will further appreciate the Ghazni wool is especially soft and comfortable—a texture as inviting as the overall presence of warm, melting hues and rustic charm this piece enjoys.
