Originating from India, this piece was hand-knotted in fine wool and silk with a fire-inspired geometric pattern, featuring graphic squares of red, yellow, and orange (though the combination radiates as almost pink against the black background). The black splashes into these squares in a pattern resembling scorch marks, with sparks of the brighter colors found less frequently throughout the field.
