On the Design: This contemporary block print design features a field of repeating boteh motifs in cream-ivory against a warm taupe and rust ground, arranged in precise diagonal alignment. The lower section presents three distinct border bands: a central floral vine pattern flanked by geometric guard borders above and below. The monochromatic palette in varying shades of sand and wheat creates subtle depth, while the textural contrast between the motifs and ground adds dimensional interest. The block printing process is one of the oldest in textile design and has seen many adaptations. Many of our designs draw on time-honored, archaic designs, such as 17th-century Mogul rug patterns that allow admirers of the craft to make their own personal connection. Our contemporary approach features a subtle high-low texture, a luxurious wool-and-silk blend that beautifully catches the light, and a fresh color palette. As with all our custom collections, comfort and quality remain paramount.
