On the Design:
These photos represent a recently sold 4x6 rug in this design, which admirers of the craft may know draws inspiration from antique Russian Kuba rug designs of a particular rustic, tribal look. A rich, warm play of golden-yellow, blue, and beige-brown tones underscores geometric floral patterns and cloudband motifs among many primitivist patterns and archaic, time-honored symbols. Keen eyes will further admire the addition of a black warp, among the signature elements of the construction, lending an added dimension and old-world patina to complement the classic, traditional look of each piece in this intricate new collection.
