This contemporary 6x9 Dhurrie flat weave is an exciting new entry in Rug

Handwoven in cotton, it’s a modern take on antique and vintage Dhurrie flatweaves by one of the best partner looms in our craft, specifically led by a devoted collector and student of these Dhurries whose collaboration has allowed us to make the most meaningful contribution to the style.
On the Design:
This design enjoys a play of ombre (or gradience) and stripes in rich colors underscores the piece—though polychromatic in its beauty, favoring aubergine purple, brown, and mauve tones among the many at play. Keen eyes will further admire the subtle look of abrashed patina and striation within the stripes—an intricate and thoughtful revival of the classic look of Kilims and similar pieces brought to a more livable, modern quality.
