Handwoven in cotton, it’s a modern take on antique and vintage Dhurrie flatweaves by one of the best partner looms in our craft, specifically led by a devoted collector and student of these Dhurries whose collaboration has allowed us to make the most meaningful contribution to the style.
On the Design:
Though polychromatic in its beauty, this piece enjoys a particular play of comfortable, light tones, namely pastels of the primary colors—a notable presence of yellow, blue and red hues atop an off-white field and taupe border alike. Keen eyes will further admire the subtle look of abrashed patina and striation within the patterns—an intricate and thoughtful revival of the classic look of Kilims and similar pieces brought to a more livable, modern quality.
