One fundamental idea that R
K Principal, Jahanshah Nazmiyal has long taught to his colleagues and teammates is that the best handmade modern rugs are made after one masters the classics. This piece is our collection’s contribution to classic styles reinterpreted completely in a modern fashion. The traditional Ikat inspiration manifests in a gorgeous, unusual play of pink, red, purple, blue, brown, and white hues. Further reveling in the silk’s natural, elegant luster, a masterly piece of deep reverence for the archaic in meticulous new craftsmanship. It’s both an elegant choice for the modern space and a thoughtful contribution to one of the most regal provenances in handmade Oriental rugs.
