The monochromatic approach allows the inherent characteristics of the indigo dye to become the primary design element, with areas of slight tonal variation creating nuanced dimensionality across the surface. This is a modern piece inspired by a versatile Indian weaving tradition with vast applications underfoot and in wall-hanging projects.
