These photos represent a recently sold 8x10 Art Deco rug constructed in hand-knotted wool. This piece boasts the Deco style of the 1920s with polychromatic patterns on gold
beige. Featuring a scintillating abstract sensibility, it is set in a smart beige background juxtaposed by hues of green, blue, and pink that make for a refreshing contrast. Both the connoisseur and designer will appreciate the interplay of abstract shapes and unusual combination of colors which gives it a whimsical and modernist sensibility. This collection represents Principal Jahanshah Nazmiyal’s goal to honor the many artists and weavers behind this movement, and contribute to the style in a bold new high-end rug for today’s interiors.
