Kilim’s Scandinavian Collection, this custom rug design represents a new flatweave texture, handwoven in a blend of wool and exotic yarns–the soft new texture inspired by alpaca yarns.

These photos represent a recently sold 8x10 rug in this line, which enjoys warm and bright pink underscore cream and red tones in geometric patterns inspired by the Swedish minimalist movement. Our flatweave’s more durable, weighted body is also a hallmark of the collection, made for high-traffic and heavy-furniture spaces. Furthermore this new blend is the softest yet in our flatweave rugs, offering a particularly smooth and dream touch and feel for an even more comfortable element in the home.
These, alongside several elements detailed here, represent R&K Principal Jahanshah Nazmiyal’s hope to honor this mid-century modern aesthetic. His Scandinavian Collection is a contribution to that style, and a renaissance for its designs with more approachable, current techniques.
