Hand knotted in wool and cotton, this particular design draws on Islamic Mihrab patterns that play dense borders with open field concepts. Keen eyes will admire a rust tone in the beige, and how it hosts the navy blue, chocolate brown, red, and gold notes so naturally in this time-honored pattern. The Mihrab’s negative space further draws the eye to admire this rug’s archaic charm and its natural play with the texture. Our construction is an inventive take on Rustic Modern design that enjoys an easy-to-maintain, comfortable wash that sits comfortable anywhere.
This is a smart, yet reverent nod to prayer rugs, and an exemplar of this shabby-chic collection.
