Kilim is inspired by rare antique Erzurum Kilim and tapestry designs from late-19th century.
On the Design:
Admirers of the craft will appreciate Erzurum for its renowned craft among classics today, and particularly for pieces of this celebrated design—a geometric pattern with four large triangles in its field. In this take on the style, a green field underscores red triangles with large-scale palmettes in gold and blue—the latter colors inverted in the largest border surrounding the piece. The especially soft, comfortable texture and impressionistic beauty inherent to the Ghazni wool is another contemporary element of note, and the soul of this collection therein; an intentional contribution to a classic for a comfortable, yet smart and sophisticated new language in design.
