Kilim, an ambitious custom-capable encyclopedia of periods recapturing and reinventing an unprecedented range of international styles including oriental patterns with fresh, European influences. Drawing inspiration from 19th century patterns of a particular whimsy meeting grandeur, the vivid striped pattern in rows of red, purple, and green play with the richness of beige-brown in such a natural way, offering a sense of movement further complementing the comfortable wash achieving this look of rustic charm and distress (the result of one of our most reputed long-standing looms in India). The juxtaposition of these very European floral rug motifs with the more intricate oriental borders has a natural sense of depth and dimensionality playing gracefully into the dimensions of this 12 x 15 rug.
