Drawing on the style of a traditional Khotan rug, the representation of the venerated Khotan medallion pattern in this likewise honorific pallet of beige and red plays beautifully into the comfortable wash of this collection, a unique approach to capturing shabby-chic distressed aesthetic in a modern piece to bring a rustic charm to discerning interiors. Among the traditional motifs, connoisseurs will note the stylistic variations of gul emblems, cloudband borders, and acclaimed ram’s Horn symbols creating a sense of movement over the pleasing red tone of the field, a dimensional complement to the more intricate pattern highlighting a juxtaposition of rich burgundy and yellow to complete the cultural homage.
