K Principal, Jahanshah Nazmiyal has long taught to his colleagues and teammates is that the best handmade modern rugs are made after one masters the classics. This piece is our collection’s contribution to classic styles reinterpreted completely in a modern fashion. Charcoal gray field and border tones underscore geometric patterns and floral motifs in the form of large-scale medallions, with a particular emphasis on saturated, bright colors and playful tones of a vibrant beauty. Admirers of the craft may note a sharp detail in the geometric medallions, a wide range and variety of colors, sense of movement and depth these create. It’s both an elegant choice for the modern space and a thoughtful contribution to one of the most regal provenances in handmade Oriental rugs.
