Kilim’s Modern Classics Collection—a series of contemporary rugs by one of the most talented ateliers and designers in the craft, made with hand-knotted all-natural silk of the utmost quality in handweaving today.
On the Design:
Each piece in this collection is a unique reimagining of traditional designs and antique rugs in one of the most luxurious new qualities and high knot counts available today. This particular rug—entitled “Vagireh” in honor of one of the foundations of carpet weaving history itself—features a graceful repeating pattern of stylized diamond-shaped medallions, reminiscent of traditional arabesques or trellises, underscored by hues of chocolate brown, dusky pink, and mauve tones with cream accent. The marriage of the brilliant sheen of silk, a regal colorway, and delicate vine scrolls make for an exceedingly royal look.
