On the Design:
A light gray Kilim underscores low-pile geometric patterns in creamy white—a soft palette and large-scale adaptation of primitivist geometry. Keen eyes for detail will further admire the nod to traditional lozenges, or diamonds—a celebrated archaic motif of African tribal matriarchs whose works are recaptured in these new large sizes that couldn’t be achieved by nomadic looms.
