This custom rug sample represents a bold and exciting new rug design from Rug
Kilim’s Moroccan rug collection; a luxurious high-pile quality with hand-knotted wool and almost abstract, primitivist geometric patterns inspired by the iconic Berber weaving tradition.
On the Design:
This contemporary interpretation of Moroccan sensibilities presents a bold abstract composition in high-contrast black, forest green and ivory tones. The pattern creates dramatic movement through organic forms that appear to float against the deep ground, reminiscent of traditional Berber motifs rendered in modernist aesthetic. The texture further enhances the design's sophisticated interplay of positive and negative space; a natural, lush pile, as comfortable and cozy to the touch as its natural sheen is to the eye.
