An 8 x 10 transitional rug design in gray and blue from the Homage Collection by Rug
Kilim. Affectionately dubbed "Suvarna" as the leading designer collaborating with Josh on using Kimonos and fusing geometric and floral oriental patterns.
On the design: Connoisseurs may note motifs including time-honored dragon pictorials, shou medallions, and a geometric interpretation of cloudbands, all paying homage in a unique fashion to some of Josh's most celebrated oriental inspirations. Hand-knotted rugs in the Homage Collection undergo a wash and refinement of pile height to create varied looks of shabby-chic, distressed aesthetic and charm, lending a venerated complement in the case of this transitional design and other classic inspirations. The texture and color through this technique sit beautifully in this 8 x 10, both regal and decorative, exemplifying the works in this line.
