Hand-knotted in wool, this custom rug sample is an exciting addition to Rug
Kilim’s Classic collection and represents a new line inspired by vintage and antique Oushak rugs.
On the Design:
This custom rug design is a modern interpretation of “ushak” design, sometimes spelled “Oushak” in our craft. This piece hosts floral geometric patterns in red, gold, green, and cream hues. The colors make for a refreshing new contribution and lend an almost transitional beauty to these traditional floral patterns. Keen eyes will further admire the outstanding sense of depth in the patterns, achieved through detail and use of color alone, making it a particularly special piece of meticulous craft. It’s both an elegant choice for the modern space and a thoughtful contribution to one of the most regal provenances in handmade Oriental rugs.
