On the Design:
This new flat weave reinvents vintage Scandinavian Kilim in ways that both honor the Swedish minimalist aesthetic and modernize its construction—made in our outdoor line’s proprietary blend of performance polyester, tested for extra resistance to moisture and the elements. This flatweave exemplifies the quintessential Scandinavian design principle of refined simplicity through its meticulously executed diamond lattice pattern. Admirers of the craft will appreciate the perfect tension between geometric precision and organic texture—where crisp white diagonal lines create a network of diamond shapes against a subtle silver-gray ground that displays natural variations in tone typical of hand-dyed yarns.
