Hand-knotted in a special blend of Ghazni wool, this 4x8 rug from the custom-classics Burano Collection by Rug
Kilim is inspired by antique Persian rugs of Heriz and Serapi provenance.
On the Design:
Keen eyes for detail may admire that it carries an interesting contemporary approach to their regal medallion and floral style of these Persian rug provenances, but with a play of both traditional, rich colors and more bright, unexpected contemporary hues. A sky blue field and ochre gold border underscore large-scale floral medallions and floral palmettes with brown and red accents, and keen eyes will admire touches of forest green and chartreuse tones as well. The especially soft, comfortable texture and impressionistic beauty inherent to the Ghazni wool is another contemporary element of note, and the soul of this collection therein; an intentional contribution to a classic for a comfortable, yet smart and sophisticated new language in design.
