Kilim’s custom classics Burano collection.
On the Design:
This piece draws on European interpretations of Oriental rug patterns—one of Josh Nazmiyal’s most beloved, rare aesthetics. This design in particular draws on a rare antique Persian rug design of Bidjar provenance, with a particularly regal open field design in gold tones underscore the large-scale medallion at its center. This and the borders surrounding enjoy a rich play of red, navy blue, and beige-brown tones, beautifully capturing the look of a classic with a more refreshed, contemporary look.
