A 4 x 6 ode to Scandinavian rug from the Burano Collection by Rug
Kilim. Hand knotted in soft Ghazni wool, enjoying a rich pictorial pattern atop brown and orange hues in handsome abrashed striation.
Further on the design: This particular nod to mid-century folk art in rugs beautifully captures the cultured European sensibility of inspiration. These animal and geometric human motifs—widely believed to represent scenes of life and good fortunes among varied cultural interpretations—lend a look both inviting and playful in color and movement. Among Josh’s favorites in the collection, particularly well suited to entryways and wall hanging projects among vast possibilities.
