Kilim’s Scandinavian rug collection—a contemporary reimagining of Swedish minimalism and vintage rugs and textiles of Rollakan and Rya traditions, with a subtle high-low element in the texture married to the geometry.
On the Design:
This Scandinavian rug features lattice diamond patterns in brown, gray, gold and beige tones with gentle variations born of the intricate weaving style inherent to this collection. Keen eyes will admire the subdued look of striae and subtle color variation, and the sense of movement they create. Connoisseurs may admire this proprietary technique of ours that both innovates and honors mid-century weaving techniques inherent to Scandinavian style. This, alongside several elements detailed here, represent R&K Principal Jahanshah Nazmiyal’s hope to honor this mid-century modern aesthetic. His Scandinavian Collection is a contribution to that style, and a renaissance for its designs with more comfortable, current techniques.
