Kilim—inspired by Swedish minimalist sensibilities and mid-century modern rugs in the Rollakan and Rya sensibilities.
On the design:
The “Nu” line of this flatweave collection enjoys a boucle-like texture of handwoven wool, and a warm look both impressionistic and comfortable compared to the cool tones of Scandinavian provenance. Keen eyes will admire the subdued look of striae and subtle color variation, and the sense of movement they create. This Kilim exemplifies that principle with geometric patterns in tones in pale teal, seafoam green and light blue punctuations—a light and refreshing approach to an iconic aesthetic.
Our modern flat weave further enjoys our reputed, heavier body with buckle resistance and greater durability against foot traffic. A comfortable, sophisticated contribution to the Swedish Deco aesthetic that both innovates and honors mid-century Scandinavian rugs.
