Handwoven in wool, this custom rug sample is an exciting new addition to Rug
Kilim’s Scandinavian rug collection—a contemporary reimagining of Swedish minimalism and vintage rugs and textiles of Rollakan and Rya traditions.
On the Design:
This piece enjoys cool, soothing tones of beige-brown, gray and cream white underscore geometric patterns in the minimalist style. Keen eyes will admire the subtle high-low texture in this flatweave, married to the geometry for an added level of dimensionality that still sits comfortably in any space. Admirers of the craft will further appreciate an exemplary blend of undyed, natural yarns in this take on Swedish flatweaves, which complements the varied hues with a striated, abrashed look—a proprietary technique that both innovates and honors mid-century weaving techniques inherent to Scandinavian style.
