Kilim's Scandinavian rug collection—a contemporary reimagining of Swedish Minimalism and vintage rugs and textiles of Rollakan and Rya traditions.
On the Design
Hues of beige-brown, gray, and white underscore geometric patterns with a subtle resemblance to classic Persian and Turkish motifs—among the many inspirations of the early Scandinavian movement, known for its adaptation of traditional patterns and motifs to this playful, minimalist look. Admirers of the craft and keen eyes will appreciate the luxurious blend of yarns interwoven for a look of striae and subtle color variation as well. This proprietary technique both honors mid-century weaving techniques and creates a modern take on a vintage abrashed look.
