Kilim’s Scandinavian rug collection—a contemporary reimagining of Swedish minimalism and vintage rugs and textiles of Rollakan and Rya traditions.
On the Design:
The structured checkerboard design of this Swedish flatweave, composed of alternating blocks of slate blue, charcoal, and dove grey, exudes a sense of order, calm, and continuity—qualities central to the region’s postwar design philosophy. Each square is subtly unique in texture and hue, a testament to its handwoven nature. The fine stepped borders and rhythmic linework offer visual interest while retaining an overall sense of restraint.
