One fundamental idea that R
K Principal, Jahanshah Nazmiyal has long taught to his colleagues and teammates is that the best handmade modern rugs are made after one masters the classics. This piece is our collection’s contribution to classic styles reinterpreted completely in a modern fashion, reflecting a modern interpretation of traditional tribal design. Admirers of the craft and keen eyes will appreciate how the particular use of colors and more muted patterns explores traditional geometry and tribal motifs in such a new way. A warm play of orange, cream and teal tones underscore these all over patterns and borders in such a unique way—arranged to lend a sense of movement and a fabulous subtlety, where the eye almost hunts for the pattern.
