This custom hand-knotted rug represents the latest bold additions to Rug
Kilim's Burano collection, reputed for its pioneering method of capturing classic patterns with especially European sensible interpretations of Oriental inspirations. This stand alone piece draws influence from celebrated mid-century Scandinavian folk art patterns, a very whimsical and fabulous pictorial never made like this before with an exceptionally soft Ghazni wool—married with our own signature blend of exotic yarns. The field design offers an inspiration from storied animal and geometric human motifs widely believed to represent scenes of life, tranquility, and fertility in varied cultural interpretations, complemented by the warm of an exceptionally rich brown, red, green, and gold naturalist colorway among the many vivid hues found in this cultural, dignified piece; unique even among its siblings from this line, hand knotted originating from one of our most respected looms in India.
