About the Item

The Hadji Jalili workshops were world renowned for producing impeccable tabriz carpets during the latter part of the 19th century into the first quarter of the 20th century (1880-1915). Once located in Tabriz (Northwest Persia), these workshops stood apart from their contemporaries for their exceptional ability to produce outstanding rugs. Because of their importance, Hadji Jalili Tabriz carpets were primarily woven for prominent families and elite institutions.
