This vintage, circa 1950, rug has a shaded sea-blue field with a delicate ivory and buff-brown scrolling palmette and floral vine around a large central ivory and buff-brown cusped medallion with pendants containing a central sea-green floral roundel surrounded by a dense scrolling palmette and floral vine, the ivory cusped spandrels similar, in a broad ivory border of meandering buff-brown and sea-blue palmette and serrated leaf border between sea-blue floral vine and ivory linked lozenge stripes.
