Flat Weave Collection by Rug
Kilim, handwoven in cotton and originating from India circa 1950-1960.
On the Design:
A play of sky blue, navy blue and salmon pink stripes in a simple, minimalist repeat is quintessential to many classics of this style. Keen eyes will further admire the subtle look of abrashed patina and striation within the stripes—an intricate and tasteful classic element of Kilims and similar pieces that lends even this more humble palette and pleasing repeat a subtle sense of movement within the hues.
