Crafts movement carpet designs of late nineteenth and early twentieth century England. The Arts
Crafts movement celebrated craftsmanship and simple, informal folk styles of decoration. Leading designers of the movement, such as William Morris and C.F.A. Voysey, embraced hand knotted rug making and crafted high-quality woven textiles in contrast to the overly decorative manufactured goods popular at the time.
