This vintage 5x9 Art Deco rug is a rare signature piece in the new additions to Rug
Kilim’s Mid-Century Pasha Collection. Hand-knotted in wool, it originates circa 1960-1970 and is believed to hail from works by Turkish artist Zeki Müren.
This piece exemplifies Müren’s unique take on Art Deco styles, and hosts a particularly rare gold colorway like few in its period. Keen eyes will admire the detail in floral patterns with forest green and white accents against a fine black border. Connoisseurs will also note the signature in the lower field that may connote the weaver or workshop.
This is a collectible rug in great condition—a rare feature among works seen from this artist.
